Istanbul stocks dipped by 2.3% on EU uncertainty..

As we are heading to critical EU meeting in December, Turkish financial markets continue to remain under a heavy selling pressure. After EU set Dec.6 as a deadline for Turkey to open ports to Cypriot traffic, Turkish government claimed to reject such a deadline.

Hedge funds continued to hurry to sell in the Istanbul Stock Exchange and Istanbul stocks dipped by 2.3%- ISE-30 index closed at 47.108, reflecting 5.1% decline in the last four trading sessions. The yield of most active 2-years bond increased to 21.6% from 20.8% and TRY lost by nearly 2.4% against USD and 3.3% against EUR via closing of heavy carry-trade positions.
